Rescue The Lover Review: Funny and Full of jokes

Rescue The Lover is about a boy and his girl friend walking down the street. The girl is kidnapped by a gangster on a double cab for i don’t know what reason. The boy is determined to save the girl, starts to follow the kidnapper (this is where the game starts) and face of many dangers, challenges, and difficulties.

How is Rescue ht lover Game play?

“Rescue The Lover” is a simple 2D animation of the popular stick figures.As you play the history, the animation will stop on some specific moments and you will have to pick between two options:

– The Good option will play the animation of you completing the stage successfully and advancing to the next stage.

– The Bad one will play the animation of you failing the stage and will end your current stage with the game over animation. You will be given a chance to continue (by watching an Ads) within a short time frame of 5 seconds. 

The stage can be divided into 2 or more sub stages with multiple decision, for example the first stage is divided into 2 sub stage. To complete the stage you will have to get all of them right, failing one of them will make you restart this stage again until you pick the correct decision.

The path of the game is linear with no impact of you changing the story which is a bit disappointing. Meaning once you completed a stage or the game itself there’s no reason to replay it as the result will be the same.

What kind of Graphic Recuse the lover use?

A very basic 2D world drawn on paint which an elementary school kid could do. Rescue The Lover doesn’t give anything special on the graphic part at all. Note that beside the main story animation you have only 2 more screen, the settings screen and the levels selection screen and that’s it.

Sound and Music

The music does change from time to time depending on the scene, with only 3 music track if I’m not mistaken. No voice, only meme sounds added to the stick figures on some specific scenes. The animation are sync with the sound.

What is the Game Length of Rescue the Lover?

Around 2 or 4 hours only of game play, with trial and error you will easily finish all 40 stages.

Is Rescue the Lover Free to play or Pay to win?

The game is entirely F2P with no micro transactions, which is really nice isn’t it? Yes but contains a mountain of Ads…

The elephant in the room of this game is Ads, yes ads are everywhere in this game, after you take a good decision, you will be forced to watch an ads. Take a bad decision, watch another ads. Decide to continue a stage, watch an ads again. Game over, watch an ads. While playing you will see an ads at the bottom no matter what stage you are playing. I understand ads is a source of income for the company but forcing the player to watch an ads for every action taken in the game is abusive.

What is Rescue the Lover Life span?

The good news is there’s no grind, no dailies, no fragment to collect. Bad news is that you will play this game only once. As soon as you finished the story, you won’t replay the whole story as you already know how it ends. I don’t think re watching the same animation with ads gonna be fun.

Rescue The Lover contains lots of scene that uses violence despite it’s cartoon nature. This may affect the mind of some people specially nowadays , showing them how to perform certain violent action that may have terrible consequence on the environment of that person. Keep this kind of game away from your children at all cost and if they manage to play it please take the time to explain them what’s good and bad in this game.

• Put some brakes on those ads, let the player choose if he want to watch the ads or not
• Add controls to where the character moves this will involve the player in your game instead of auto piloting the whole game
• Change the game rating to teen because you can’t let kids play a game where crimes are committed and violence is present in so many scenes
• Add different possible ending which will extend the game’s life and add some replay ability

Should you play Rescue the lover?

No, why? Because playing an animation where you don’t control your character during the whole game cannot be called a game itself. One tap to choose an animation to watch you progress or fail, sounds more like a waste of time than having fun. Another reason is the forced ads for every action you take and they also force you to rate the game. Don’t encourage companies to make this kind of game and be at the top in google play store as you will be feeding a lazy company to produce more of those brain dead animations for you in the future.
