Raid: Shadow Legends review
OVERVIEW of Raid: Shadow Legends
Are you looking for a game that will push your patience to the limit? Say hello to Raid: Shadow Legends, where progress comes to those who are willing to invest the time and effort. Brace yourself for a gameplay experience that requires dedication, perseverance, and a never-ending supply of determination. Get ready to grind one hard-earned champion at a time!
1. Graphics and Visual Design
Despite some minor areas for improvement like re-used and recolored characters models, Raid: Shadow Legends undeniably delivers a visually captivating experience. The attention to detail, vibrant colors, and seamless animations contribute to a world that feels alive and dynamic.
2. Sound and Music
While Raid: Shadow Legends offers a satisfactory sound and music experience overall, diversification for music and voice acting for the characters is missing.
3. Gameplay Mechanics
Raid: Shadow Legends presents a compelling and immersive gameplay experience. With its strategic combat, extensive character customization, and challenging dungeons, the game offers a satisfying journey for players who enjoy tactical turn based RPGs. With the thrill of summoning new champions and expanding your roster further enhances the depth and strategic possibilities.
4. Story and Lore
With very short story, Raid: Shadow Legends still manages to create a world that contribute to the immersive atmosphere even that some characters don’t have any lore. Quests given by the Arbiter doesn’t really relate to the story or lore of the game.
5. Progression System
The character leveling, skill upgrades, and gear customization provide opportunities for players to shape their champions and progress through the game. However, a steep leveling curves and lucked based gear acquisition, may test the patience and dedication of some players. But Raid: Shadow Legends rewards you quite generously over time which make it worth staying to play.
6. Multiplayer and Competitive Gameplay
Beside the Clan boss, Raid: Shadow Legends does not offer much in terms of multiplayer gameplay. As for competition the Arena modes got you covered.
7. Events and Updates
The events are nearly everyday but they are difficult to compete with Cash player. As for updates Raid: Shadow Legends do update the game frequently with new events, champions and good stuff.
8. Monetization and In-Game Purchases
Everything that can ease your progression can be bought in the game except champions. The cash shop is one of the most dynamic shop which propose you very good deals with aggressive ads. Making Raid: Shadow Legends a very P2W game.
9. Community and Player Support
Raid: Shadow Legends is very active on social media, it’s one of the reason for it’s popularity. As for customer support I’ve heard mix feelings about it.
10. Game Size and Compatibility
With a game size over 9GB, Raid: Shadow Legends is a big boy that requires a lot from your phone both in terms of space and requirement to run smoothly with it’s best graphic.
Should you play Raid: Shadow Legends?
Yes, If you enjoy strategic turn-based combat, team-building, and character progression, Raid: Shadow Legends offers those options to satisfy those interests. The diverse roster of champions, each with their unique abilities and playstyles, allows for strategic depth and customization.
However i find the game a bit too greedy on a bit of everything. It requires a lot of space and a good phone to run as it’s best. Demands a lot of your time and dedication to reach even the mid game. The ads of in-game purchases pops too much in your face for every simple achievement you accomplished.
Overall, if you enjoy RPGs, team-based gameplay, and are willing to play despite the potential monetization aspects, Raid: Shadow Legends can provide hours of enjoyment and a sense of progression. But requires a lot of patience and perseverance from a new player who going to play it without spending as a real challenge.
