Path of Nowhere - Sins Arise

First Released Oct 21, 2022

AISNOGames present a solid SRPG with Real-Time Tower Defense that rivals 'Arknights'.

I remember watching the trailer of path to nowhere , with cool beautiful looking characters in 2D illustrations which resembles the anime “Noblesse”. But what really catch my attention was when the eyes glowing a blue light like the vampires in the movie (underworld).

Path to Nowhere Story

Your story starts with a rather unusual wake up from a mysterious women. You seem to have memory problem as the only thing that you remember is only your name. After you write your name, the story goes on a roller coaster. MBCC (Minos bureau of crisis control) is under attack by your savior.

She took your appearance for an obvious reason, as you are the Chief of MBCC. Now she’s freeing every single prisoners including the Sinners. Sinners are dangerous prisoners with special abilities that you will discover during the tutorial. Sinners will be the units and enemies that you will encounter during your game play.

Path to Nowhere Tutorial

After some encounter that you probably can’t lose as it’s part of the tutorial teaching you the basics.  Discover later that you also have powers, the “Shackle“. A power that lets you control the Sinners, an ideal power for the Chief of MBCC. At the end of the tutorial you will be accompanied by 2 Sinners namely Hecate and Hela.

Sinners in Path to Nowhere

The fact that the voice actors does an excellent job to give more depth to those characters and contribute to an interesting story, each Sinner also reflect their class. I love how the game match both personality and class for example Hela is very straight forward and is a melee unit whereas Hecate is distant type and is a range unit.

The end of the Tutorial of Path to Nowhere

Finally this is end of your roller coaster ride, tutorial is over and you now have full control in the game. Of course the first thing everyone would do after collecting all the rewards given freely by the game which includes redeeming your codes to be able to pull(summon) for units. Depending on your luck, you may want Reroll to restart over again with better better units or continue enjoying the game with units given to you.

To be able to go forward in the story, the game will start to ask for a level requirement. By now, you should go clear different dungeons to obtain those resources to upgrade your Sinners. The game will give you a lot of energy(stamina) which you will have the sensation of playing the game endlessly. You will spend stamina on progressing through the chapters and try different units that match your play style.

Path to Nowhere Endgame

I have reach part of the game where in order to progress in the story, grinding of resources is required. By now you should already unlock all the features of the game including Crimebrand. This is where your units will be different from other people as crimebrand have different stats and abilities. Sinners will unlock them on stage 2 and 3, so equip and upgrade those crimebrand as soon as possible.

Crimebrand of Path to Nowhere

If you already cleared a stage before, you can raid it multiple of time which make grinding easy. A very good QOL(Quality of life) that pairs badly a low energy pool and few daily energy supplies. As for the endgame you will need to focus on a team of Sinners of different class if possible, raise them to stage 3, max their level and crimebrand. Follow this advice to avoid losing resources unnecessarily as your account will become stagnant and you will lose a hefty amount of time grinding.

“Later, you no longer obtain energy refill easily from leveling your account as leveling will take more time so say goodbye to unlimited energy unless you refill your energy with your precious hypercubes”

This is where many people will either stick with the game or quit. Managing your resources correctly will let you have powerful units which will let you clear the endgame stages. Fail to manage and your doom having a very slow pace grinding resources for characters for weeks, thus getting bored of the bottleneck of energy that game have.

Should you play Path to Nowhere?

It’s definitely a Yes, I was happy to see that the mechanics similar to “Arknights”, which is why I understand how so many people was associating both games. The game is fun and require some level of strategy if your planning on using units not in the Tier List. But Path of Nowhere has a flaw that I personally don’t like, low energy pool with high energy cost stages.

Energy system in Path to Nowhere

Ultimately, Path to Nowhere shackle the players to a minimum amount of gameplay per day specially for free players(f2p). Yes the game is a must play but would transition from a main game to a side game later on. The experience was good but I felt detached every single day as playing a game for less than 5 min only to obtain some resources isn’t the definition of fun. As always i thank for reading till the end, i will see you in the next game review.

About S-mobilegaming Reviews

Curious player corner

Yes the game is very Free to Play(F2P), the game give you access to the whole game and also give enough to progress through the whole game. Although your progress will take more time as you lack energy to grind as cash players.

No it’s not Pay to Win(P2W), as the only advantage as cash player are skins, additional energy and hypercubes.

While there’s no official PC Client of Path to Nowhere, you can however use an emulator such as Bluestacks, Nox and LDPlayer to play the game.

Mobile Legends Adventure Review: Is it good?

Mobile Legends Adventure Review: Is it good?

Mobile Legends Adventure in an idle RPG based on the famous MOBA game “Mobile Legends Bang Bang“. You collection a variety of heroes and goes on an adventure. The game is still popular, so i wanted to do review on it. Let’s find out more about this game.

What is the Story of Mobile Legends Adventure?

Nice Anime intro

After a nice intro in Anime, the game starts talking about Akashic answer which is a bit confusing, anyway you end up waking up to see a Layla in your face. It’s the first time i have some trouble understanding the story of a game. What i understand is things went wrong and end up destroying the world, luckily all is not over as Lunox manage to send you back to the past to avoid this tragedy.

How is the Game play of Mobile Legends Adventure?

As you listen to the dialogue of Layla, you will start a lengthy tutorial where you will learn about combat, positioning, upgrade heroes, equip heroes and summoning. The game is rather simple, form a team of 5 heroes and fight against another team or boss. As all idle game power level will determine whether you win or lose the battle. So you job is to maintain your power level high enough to tackle stages and manage your team to victory.

Power level can be increase in various way such as

  • Leveling a Heroincluding limit break
  • Equip the Hero with gearsets or better rarity
  • Fusing the Hero more star means better stats

Heroes come in 3 rarity namely Rare(useless hero), SR(Elite Hero) and, SSR(Epic Hero). However when it comes to fusion things are a bit more complicated. Mobile Legends Adventure uses a star system where you fuse hero of the same star to obtain a higher star hero. Here’s a good example:

  • 3 star + 3 star = 4 star
  • 4 star + 4 star = 5 star
  • 5 star + 5 star = 1 red star
  • 1 red star + 1 red star = 2 red star

Fusion works with any rarity of hero, 3 to 6 star can be fuse together as long as they belong to the same faction. To get to 7 star aka 1 red star, you will need a copy of that hero, then the rest work as the normal fusion as long as you are using the same faction. You can fuse up to 9 star for now.

Note that this game has the option to auto level your heroes as long as you have 5 heroes leveled up. A building name Holy Shrine will let you save load of resources and let you level up heroes that you want to use later on. Keep in mind that it will always take the lowest level hero and transfer it to the other non main heroes.

If i didn’t mention gear, it’s because they barely give you power early on. Much later in the game when you start unlocking faction sets and epic quality gear, then you can start focus on them. Use your fodder gear below epic rank to level up your gear.

Game modes

Beside the campaign where you battle stage to stage to clear the world map, you can try other modes although combat maybe the same but the rule will be different. Here’s a list of other game modes:

  • Labyrinth A little puzzle mode where you will have to clear a board from enemies to move to the next floor. you will have to flip a square in order to discover enemy, bonus, merchant and summon help. Last floor will have a boss waiting for you which you can clear easily if you accumulated enough bonuses from slaying the monster on a floor.
  • Tower of BabelChallenge each floor to move to the next one. Note that the power of monster increase on each floor but reward does get better and better as you climb up.
  • Tavern – Send your heroes to expedition quests. Note that hero you send is still available to play the other game modes. You have solo bounty and team bounty where you will need a friend hero to complete it. It takes around 1 to 4 hr depending the rarity of the bounty.
  • Akashic Ruins Another little classic rpg game where you move your hero to collect buff or fight enemies to obtain keys to open lock doors. Collect and beat everything on the little map to obtain monolith.
  • Arena your PVP mode where you fight other player to climb rank to obtain daily rewards according to your rank and league.
  • Realm of LegendsAnother little rpg mode but more accentuate towards solving a puzzle in correct order. Same rule as Akashic Ruins, collect and beat everything.
  • Trek of MiracleExplore the little map with aboard your ship, you will be rewarded with 3 chest if you complete the fight with the requirements. Try to complete the map with maximum rewards in hand.
  • Guild BossFight the guild boss daily on a limited time and try to do as much damage as you can.
  • Event BossFight the event boss for a currency that you can exchange for good prices.

Mobile Legends Adventure use different 2D graphic. The miniature version of the heroes are used during combat and the beautiful animated illustration of the heroes in the info section. The illustration are really good and detailed compare to the mini version. Now why did they choose 2 different style of graphic, i don’t know!! The game would have been super nice if they kept the character to normal size with the graphic of the illustrations.

Same goes for the skills, they do a zoom in and out of the mini character doing it’s ultimate. The result is a boring and outdated animation which you will turn off and easily forget. However some skin do have a Flashy skill animation but unfortunately those skins are locked behind a pay wall. Some fan service from those 2D animation like bouncing chest of female heroes which i think become a requirement for every game now.

The background is a standard static 2D with a very small light or fire animation for all the screen except the campaign where you can see your heroes fighting. Next thing worth mentioning are the skins, they look really good, they are well illustrated and animated. They respected the design from the original game of Mobile Legends Bang Bang and skin look even better as they are animated here.

As expected Mobile Legends Adventure is like all idle games, control doesn’t really apply to them. As most of the time you will only tap a button or switch position of your heroes. The Auto mode will do all the fighting for including casting hero skills, so it’s not applicable here.

Sound & Music

Another game with the same music repeating itself every 10 seconds. This will get boring quickly, which you will turn off the music and put some music of your choice instead. Part of the story has voice actor which make the story interesting. Reading dialogue only make you just want to skip the story which is sad as the story is not that bad. Of course all your heroes has a voice actor line when doing their ultimate(which becoming annoying to hear for some hero).

What is the Game Length of Mobile Legends Adventure?

Once you reach level 80+, the game pace slows down and you will have to rely on your daily quests to get additional rewards. Daily quests takes around 10 min, the labyrinth takes a bit more time to complete as more grid and level are added. Remember that your maximum afk reward cannot exceed 12 hours, so be sure to connect at least 2 times per day to collect them. As a F2P, your progress will depend on it.

Is Mobile Legends Adventure Free to play?

The game is F2P and does offer a good amount of gems to do multiple pull. However the VIP is locked behind pay wall is not F2P at all. Even that they give you some free VIP points in achievements after you clear a chapter. Sadly it’s a 1 time reward, you will be stuck on a certain VIP level unless you decide to buy some points. It’s possible to play as F2P but your progression will be very slow. It may take you a full year to get your team to a decent amount of stars.

Is Mobile Legends Adventure Pay to win?

Yes, it’s a P2W game. The VIP points, battle pass, SSR fragments, gems and skins are only for spenders. The game can boost your hero to a good amount of star if your going to spend. Of course, things will slow down much later in the game as expected for an idle game. Spending some money will definitely make you more powerful than any F2P but be careful with the summons as the rate are not that good.

They give you the option to watch up to 4 ads to obtain gems daily.

Micro transaction

The cash shop will have different packages, monthly pass, starlight pass(season pass) and of course it’s VIP pass. The shop is the standard cash shop in all other game with price varying between $1 to $100. Be careful when spending on summoning tickets as RNG can mess you up badly, remember that your not guaranteed any SSR and may end up wasting your money. The best value for money is the Diamond Fund and the Starlight pass.

What is the Life span of Mobile Legends Adventure?

Idle game tends to have a good life span as they have an infinite loop of gameplay that repeat again and again. In other word, you will never reach the end stage as developer will release other stages by the time you will reach it. While this is good news for Mobile Legends Adventure, i fear that people may get bored of the game and move for a newer idle game.

Most of the player are fans of Mobile Legends Bang Bang and will support the game but on the other hand, someone who is new to Mobile Legends will have no attachment to the game specially if they had bad RNG and is progressing very slowly. In the end i think Mobile Legends Adventure will be with us as long as long as Mobile Legends Bang Bang will stay popular and exist.

A little management of heroes is always a good way to improve your management skills. As the game has faction system, this will let you use different strategy to defeat them. Just be careful when your spending a gacha game, look for package that will benefit your progression and is worth your money.

  • Make skill animation look better
  • VIP points accessible for F2P
  • Guaranty an SSR unit in a 10 pull for summoning
  • Better Summoning Rate
  • Balance heroes with aoe skills
  • Change the limit of afk rewards to 24hr
  • Better afk reward as progression is slow
  • More F2P events
  • Skins available for F2P
  • Better background music
  • Remove the content lock behind progression level specially for skin
  • Add a sort for heroes
  • Lower the cost of summoning for events
  • More ways to obtain gems later on

They do update the game every 2 weeks with new events, skins and balance over some heroes. They are also adding new heroes and are upgrading some SR heroes to SSR.

Should you play Mobile Legends Adventure?

Yes, don’t mistake Mobile Legends Adventure for another standard idle game as it is not the case. Although it is the case early on in the game but things will make this game more interesting later on. As you unlock more content and game modes, you will see a very good idle game. I don’t like the contents locked behind progression as this may make a new player miss the good part of the game. Some player will leave after the 7 days as they will see nothing new or interesting going on.

As an idle game, Mobile Legends Adventure is a game of patience after all. Yes it’s P2W will boost you forward compare to F2P but you will eventually slow down in progression. I would say it’s not the best or the worst idle game on the mobile world, remember again it’s an idle game so your progression won’t be as fast as an RPG. You won’t be able to finish the game no matter how much you spend, chill, relax and enjoy the game.

Seven Knights 2 Review: Can Beautiful graphic save a game?

Seven Knights 2 is the sequel of the well known Seven Knights. They comeback to us with a brand new 3D world, new raids and many more goodies. If your a fan of 7K and loves grinding games, this one is for you.

What’s is Seven knights 2 Story?

Many years after Karin’s sacrifice, the seven knights disappeared without a trace but the destruction stone were still present. As Eileen daughter was enjoying a quiet life with her mercenary friends, their city is attacked by a fallen hero.

In Order to save her daughter and the survivors, Eileen sacrifice herself. With the help of an unknown hero, they manage to escape in a portal. Now Lene must go on an adventure to find out the truth.

Game play

After some nice cinematic, the game transition immediately into tutorial mode. Where you will learn the basic quickly, After combat you will be shown different class.

As all RPG, you will have different classes,

  • Tank as your meat shield
  • DPS as your melee damage dealer
  • Support as healer or buffer/de buffer
  • Range as range damage dealer
  • Universal as the most flexible class meaning you can be everything

Each class has a specific color code to differentiate them from each other.

  • Tank is Blue,
  • Support is Green,
  • Range is Yellow
  • Universal is Purple

Each specific unit get specific buffs depending on Formation.

Formation is a bit different in Seven Knights 2. First you will need to unlock then upgrade them with gold and books. Formation will always have 4 slot only but they will be in different color. Remember the class color code? Well this is where you will know where to place them.

Gear will start dropping when slaying monster, Of course you can equip them on your heroes. Those gear have no class restrictions and have multiple set both offensive and defensive. The gear is divided in to 5 parts for armor, 3 parts for accessories and 1 part for the weapon. They also have different grade from

  • Uncommon as Grey
  • Common as Green
  • Rare as Blue
  • Legendary as Red

Pet is the Chibi version of the characters or monster. There main job is to give you a passive buff and a short active buff during battles. They also share the same grade system as gears as mentioned above.

You can upgrade heroes using fragment by limit breaking them up to 10 times in total. Max level is currently level 50. Note that the cost of fragments increases after each limit break and it has a 100% success rate, thanks god. Fragment can be obtain via summoning, exchange in shop and fusion.

Each hero will have 4 skills, there are 3 basic skills and 1 ultimate skill. Basic skill can be passive or active and ultimate can only be active.

When your hero levels up 5 level, you can upgrade your skills to +1 with some gold. The maximum cannot be reach if you don’t upgrade your mastery and have the Trouble Shooter gear equipped. Not that max skill level is currently level 20.

In battle, you can always upgrade your skills, mastery, upgrade gear or even switch equipment which is a really cool feature and quality of life. So the battle screen is pretty the same standard interface, on the left is the movement control and on the right the attack/auto attack button, and near it your 3 skill.

Mastery is a very important to get passive bonus. They are locked behind your level but luckily you can bypass this with gems. It’s a one time purchase and is an excellent way to spend your gems.

In order to collect gear and crafting materials, you will need to start doing Raids. Raid is a mode where your team face a Boss on a time limit. Raid have both single and multiplayer mode, you will have a 4 and 8 person raid. Raids have currently 10 level of difficulty, each level make the boss stronger.

Careful have ultimate skill like your characters, they can 1 shot your team with it. So to avoid failing your raids you should bring a counter hero that will interrupt his ultimate and disable him for some seconds. Dodge red telegraph attacks of the boss and try not to auto in raids.

The typical dungeons where you will face different challenge to obtain resources. They each require specific unit for example some stage requires melee dps only and other require range heroes only. Dungeons also have only 10 levels, of course each level will be harder as monster will get better stats.

Arena is a big disappointment, why? It’s completely on Auto, that’s means you don’t have any control on your character or skill during a match. Which make a PVP match a brawl simulation of AI vs AI. They could have at least let you use skills during combat but you can only watch the match.

Due to that PVP is entirely a Strength contest where the higher grade heroes will always win. PVP is a place where you obtain your weekly gems to summons but as a F2P don’t hope to get to higher leagues. As you will meet strong teams of Legendary+ that will destroy your team in seconds.

How is Seven Knights 2 Graphic?

It’s one of the most beautiful 3D on mobile, everything is animated correctly. The face has different expression, each character look different from each other. Although some character are copy paste with only a different skin. Weapon glows after enhancing to +10 which add a nice visual effect.

The skins doesn’t look that extraordinary, the environment looks really good, the skill effect are breath taking for some heroes. They manage to respect the original Seven knights character and didn’t add unnecessary changes to them.

The game looks exactly as the cinematic, so you won’t feel cheated when looking at the cinematic and start playing. The game make me remember DMC4 for some reason, same graphic , same vibes but different game play.

You can move your character around in all direction, do attack in combo without using skills or use auto attacks mode that will use skill automatically. A button to rally other member of the team to the character your controlling and you can switch from any heroes anytime during the battle.

The control is very responsive which is good as the game encourage you to take control to dodge telegraph attack from boss and monsters.

To be efficient try manually control instead of auto mode. When using your skill, for example a healer uses the heal when everyone is still at full health and putting the skill on cool down which may result in killing your whole team. When the boss will use an aoe attack that you fail to dodge or simply can’t dodge.

Also as mention above, counter heroes will need a manual activation to trigger their skills. Finally your pet active skill also require a manual activation.

Sound & Music

The whole story has voice acting, each character has it’s voice acting, even the uncommon to legendary+. Each screen has it’s own epic music from the login screen to battlefield, different music which you can listen in loop. Each character attack and skill has also been voice acting, grunts from attacking and receiving damage or even when you faint.

How about Seven Knights 2 Game Length?

The main story isn’t too long around 11 chapters, each chapters are divided into small stages. Once story is over you can tackle the next difficulty and repeat the whole story again for 4 times in total. You can finish the story in 2 or 3 days of game play, each dungeon and raids have currently 10 level, take around 15 min to manually clear a level but once difficulty is cleared, you may just use a clear ticket and be done with it in less than 10 seconds.

You have a daily login reward, weekly events, monthly events, daily quests, monthly quests, everything of those take a lots of time at the start, between 1h – 3h of game play but later on you may do your dailies in less than 30 minutes, including some grind.

Is Seven Knights 2 Free to play or Pay to win?

P2W without a doubt. Even the gems shower and freebies early on, you will quickly realize that the game is not F2P at all. You have limited ways to obtain gems as the story mode is 1 time reward only.

PVP is whale territory, as it’s extremely difficult to obtain a Legendary + Hero as a F2P. Even if you manage to pull one it will take you several months to max that unit. By the time your finish doing so, another stronger unit will have already come out and make your hard work go to waste.

New units are better that previous unit, making old unit fall behind with wasted time and resources. If you want to follow the Meta, you will need to spend some cash to keep up with the updates.Skins are available only via cash shop.

Micro Transaction

Ah!! The cash shop, you will get everything as the usual mobile games cash shop, daily/weekly/monthly packages, battle pass, special offers, currency package, skins, summon packs, hero fragments packs and pets packs. Price will vary between $0.99 – $89.99, most of the good packs are rather expensive and they are a bit aggressive with special offers. By the way, skins can only be obtain with real money.

No ads.

What is the Life span of Seven Knights 2?

Base on what I’ve seen the game may go on for at lease 1 or 2 year if they manage to continue on pumping new chapter and character in the game, most of the people that will stay are here for the story or heroes and not for the game play.

The game tried to extend itself by repeating the story 4 times, same story with nothing new with only increased stats from monster and boss depending the difficulty.

As a RPG you will have some team management to do. Learn who to use in specific raids and also some team synergy. Unfortunately that all you can squeeze from this game.

  • Add the amount of gems obtained in the expedition run,
  • Make gems a drop item
  • Increase the amount of gem in the higher difficulty of story mode
  • Remove or increase the amount of fragment that you can buy daily
  • Change the items in the shop because they are terrible
  • Add different aura on normal monsters in higher difficulty of the story mode, Same for the raids boss and dungeon.
  • Need more gear sets
  • Add more formations with different combination and buffs
  • Change the pity system to a guaranty banner hero instead of chance of obtaining other ones

New Chapters are been added every month, with addition of 2 new heroes and some new events with them.

Should you play Seven Knights 2?

Honestly the game is one the best graphic i have seen. Plus the innovative game play character control is a nice addition to Mobile RPG games. But that about it, the game feels empty inside, poor gear system, streamline game play and lacks of diversity.

Progression is very slow as F2P, the map that they give freely is simply not enough for you to grind. After some month, you may start to feel burn out. Connecting only to collect maps or finish your daily quests and log out.

The game is playable as F2P if you play consistently. As for cash player, this game is for you as you will get new units nearly every month. Seven Knights 2 feels like a rush, unfinished game which rely solely on beautiful graphic and nostalgia.

Mythic Heroes: The one and only amazing Review

Mythic Heroes: The one and only amazing Review

Mythic Heroes is an idle game that caught many of us off guard. How did an idle game manage to do so, we will investigate this mystery together in this review. Mythic Heroes Story There is a long forgotten tree, like no other tree, it
