Long story short your aim is to become an Ace Star Hunter and you are assigned with Miya. Now it’s time to collect cyborg girls in a space adventure with Miya!!
After some dialogues, you are guided through a tutorial with your mentor in order to pass the test of a star hunter. The tutorial does it’s job and make you understand different mode of the game quickly. Learning combat, positioning, equipment, switching weapon, adventure, explore and challenges. Don’t worry we will comeback on some of the important ones later on.
The main gameplay of Angel Legion is taking a team of 6 Angels in a 3 by 3 formation(3 in front and 3 at the back row) in a turn base battle. A bit like the infamous Raid Shadow Legends combat system. You have 20 turn to beat the enemies and you can either auto or play manually. Combat is the same for nearly all content of the game. You can level up, evolve and equip your angels to increase their power.

Your character is the core of everything, those angels have different roles, skills and attribute. The Class are:
You can recruit them using 3 different currency, of course each
currency have different rates. Those are fairly easy to obtained by
playing the game. Sadly for F2P, the game don’t have a guaranteed chance
for S-Rank Angels. Although i heard some rumors after 50 summons, you will automatically get an S Rank if you did not get any for that 50 summons. Can’t tell if that was true as i managed to get S-Rank every 20 or 30 summons.
Once you advance far enough in the game, you should start having some
difficulty to beat your enemies. Don’t worry it’s normal way for a game
to indicate you to upgrade your character even further than the
tutorial showed you. After a certain level a different material(Blue Crystal) may be needed to upgrade your character to the next level. But you will most of the time use Star Coupon and Force.
You may have to Evolve your character to obtain
additional star. Star will increase the max level of your character but
you will need to reach max level of 5 star. Evolve will work as a limit
break and go back from 5 star to 1 Star but will change to silver. The
same process will go on until you reach Red Star color.
They come in 6 different rarity:
Equipment can be obtained by crafting, dropping from enemy, rewards, Star Chests and Fusion. Fusion
is a great way to obtain better gear and it will be your best way to obtain S rank gear as F2P. You can also upgrade them to +12 but i would recommended to upgrade only S rank gear to avoid wasting materials. Note the chance of success decreases after each upgrade, so don’t try to waste too much material on lower rarity gear.
A 3D graphic like a PS3 game. It’s a bit outdated but it still have it’s charm. The character have some unique design but have similar face which you can always modify later on with their customization. I think it’s the only Idle game with character’s customization. The background are 3D animated which you can swap, combat background is also in 3D but don’t really have anything going on(making it look static). The combo skills is cool and the normal skill animation looks meh.
The UI is a more over clean and simple. The dialogue shows the character in 2D illustration, if you expected some 3D animation you end up disappointed like me. While dialogue is a cheap way to show a story, it can’t be use everywhere specially in a 3D scifi game where action seems to be taking place on every mission. Finally you can view in 3D your hero and rotate the character but no zoom in or out. I noticed a VR mode but i did not have any VR gear to test it out.
Other than that they recently added new 2D illustrations, some are even 2D live ones. While it looks awesome giving us a cooler looking character illustration with even more fanservice. The illustration is sadly AI made, which mean you will see the same illustrations in other games.
Good background music which change on different screen and background. You even have different music on different story stages and other game modes. Excellent sound effect of attack and skills. The voice acting was good addition to dialogue, too bad it’s only part of the story. Expect some surprise when changing background.
I would say it’s F2P to a certain extant but make no mistake Angel Legion is a P2W game. As the game requires copy of heroes to make them stronger.
The problem is that a cash player have unlimited ways to obtain any heroes of their choice if they are willing to pay.
This completely upset the balance as F2P will take months and a lot of luck in the RNG in order to reach the progression of a 1 week account of a cash player.
The cash shop is a very simple one, yet they complicated it by replacing the cash by a currency name Star Dollar. Making it difficult to evaluate the price of the packages. Star Dollar can be recharge and it’s price varies between the standard $0.99 to $ 99.99. Even the packages price look low, player should be careful about spending as you can easily get lost or forgot the cost of recharging Star Dollar.
They have a guild system with chat which also let you interact with other player.
The latest update has brought quite a change in appearance of the game. Angel Legion now has new AI illustrations with even more fan service.
Removal of the energy and recovery system and an interaction mode in 3D with maya. Of course there are other updates for fixing bugs, etc.
Yes as it’s a unique style of Scifi Idle RPG but Angel Legion does have a lot of room for improvement. That being said the game is not bad at all if ignore the P2W aspect and RNG dependency for progression.
I personally enjoyed my play through with Angel Legion as F2P. Progression is good until you hit some walls like resources and copy of S rank heroes to Evolve. The game is beautiful enough to enjoy the character customization. Skins were literally free, upgrading the base like Fallout Shelter was fun.
The updates gave the game a new look but i fear that the AI illustration can be a double edge sword for the game. As many other game have similar illustrations too, making me wonder who is the original?

The Call of Antia review is finally here, after days of testing, let’s see how this hybrid game is all about.
After 100 years of waiting, the Dragoneer(you) appears. The knights manage to summon you to solve a pressing issue, darkness is gathering and wreaking havoc. An old evil is trying to comeback to Antia, now you will journey to meet the five sages to complete an old prophesy.
No introduction! the game starts in a middle of a conversation between a group of heroes and you immediately enter in a very very long tutorial mode for 2 chapter of the game. Although their best effort in this tutorial, it’s a bit too long to give the player the freedom to check the game.
I notice that some important information are not available, for example : Buffs/Debuffs and enemy information including stats, skills, etc. Instead you will only get a power level of the whole group of enemy which is not an accurate information to start a battle.
The core of Call of Antia is a 3 match game, in order to beat your enemy you will have to match 3 or more runes of the same color. The 3 match color will give your corresponding hero mana. Once the mana bar is full, your heroes can use a skill that will trigger a 3D animation.
Matching more than 3 will trigger additional effect :
The main story has no time limit on a match but that does not mean you can let your guard down. As enemy will hit you on every turn and some boss will charge a devastating skill on your hero. If all your 5 hero dies, it’s game over.
Each color represent an element, Fire, Water, Earth, Light and Dark. Fire counter Earth, Earth counter Water, Water counter Fire, Light and Dark counter each other.
You will have a little city builder mode in Call of Antia. As most of city builder your Castle is your main building and it’s level will unlock more buildings later on.

It’s no surprise that Call of Antia is not a collection RPG. You can upgrade and ascend your Heroes, they are however split into 3 different class :
All those heroes are part of different Factions, you can get a special buffs when using 2 or more heroes from the same Factions. As all RPG, you can equip your heroes with a piece of equipment. You are able to upgrade and ascend your equipment to give better stats to them.
Equipment is also split into different category Weapon of Strength, Intelligence and Agility.
The best weapon are exclusive weapons, you can craft them in the Blacksmith. However if you see how scarce the materials are, you better craft a normal weapon and ascend it to max level easily. Note that only 4 star exclusive weapon are available for crafting.
5 Star exclusive weapon is sadly lock behind a pay wall. Anyway you have notice that the game is a Star Rank system. Heroes and Weapons ranks depends on how many stars they have, currently minimum is 2 stars and max is 5 stars.
So awakening heroes will look like this :
Awaken is additional bonus stats and skill that the hero will acquire when you get a duplicate. Here’s a little tip, 2 stars awaken hero can be as powerful as a 5 stars non awaken in the early and mid game. So don’t be too sad if you did not get any 5 stars in the beginning.
The game is a mainly animated 2D with some aspect in 3D, I am disappointed that the game doesn’t look like the ad. The heroes skills, the city, dragon skill and the dragon itself are the only 3D that you will see in the entire game. The 2D look clean and beautiful with the right amount of detail. Each character does look unique and same goes for their skills.
The board in a classic 2D, not particularly interesting as many 3 Match game already doing the same thing. Weapons, Dragons and Heroes does not change appearance or glow when you ascend them. Overall they got a really clean interface, good art style and nice skins too.
The main control are tap and swipe, so I don’t think it’s applicable here. I did not encounter any issue when playing which mean everything is working fine.
The background music are good enough to let it on when your playing. Part of the story has voice acting which is nice until they stop around chapter 4. Every hero has at least 3 lines of voice acting and they will say another line when using their skill in combat. The volume of the sound effect and background music are well balance, Good job!
Call of Antia has an energy system, so can’t really play all day long. Around 15 to 30 min to finish all your daily quests and empty your energy completely. Energy does take a long time to recharge, the game gives you 1 free energy refill per day. You can play the game 2 times per day and try to progress or grind as much as possible.
Another F2P game that is P2W, despite giving free stuffs with redeem code quite often. Everything seems to be encouraging you to spend to progress as you will face many walls. A limited amount of energy, a slow energy recharge rate, expensive summons, low gems income, season pass and exclusive 5 stars weapon lock behind a Gatcha with cash only.
The spike in difficulty doesn’t encourage free to player to continue to play, leaving you with grinding stages for day in an effort to ascend 1 hero after 2 days of grinding. PVP and Guild Wars are obviously P2W as i already saw people with team of full 5 stars heroes. The rate for 5 stars is low too, you won’t have a pity to help you get one or you won’t even have gems to summon enough.

The game won’t last too long at this rate, player will not stay in a game with a crawling speed in progression. The shard system for ascending material is a very bad idea to extend a game life span. I saw that the developers are working on many issue of the game, I really hope they fix the game before everyone decide to leave.
Aside from having fun collecting heroes and dragon, the 3 Match games are a good way to exercise your brain. To play effectively, you will need think well before you move as a wrong move can be costly. Parents this is a good game to introduce your children to RPG games, they will learn and play at the same time.
Call of Antia will always have different events with updates, Treacherous seas, Hero Trials and a Summoning event. Of course updates include fix of bugs and changes in heroes, weapons and the game modes.
Yes, you should try it. As you can see, Call of Antia is playable as free to play but is more oriented towards a Pay to win. However the Pay to win aspect only affect PVP and Guild Wars, the campaign and other PVE modes are not affected.
The game still have a long way to go, it has many things that will need a fix. If you like the game, don’t give up on it as the developers are listening in discord and fixing some of the big issue of the game.
Don’t lose your time on rerolling on different server unless you really desperate to get a 5 star hero. 5 star hero only outshine other hero when fully ascended and with max weapon which may not happen so soon.

Final Gear is a new strategic collection RPG game featuring “Mechs & Maidens”(Mechas and Waifus). You will have to try to collect all the waifus and obtain their custom mech during your adventure, playing each stages and reading the story itself. So as usual we will try to cut this big game into a review for everyone, let’s dive in.
In a future, in a fantasy world, a devastating meteor blow has changed the prosperous land into a wasteland. The survivor of this land tried to rebuild it to it’s former glory but failed because of the scarce resources. So progress turned into a rivalry between three major countries. You are a mercenary group that’s not affiliated to any specific country and your agent “Evelynn” is piloting a Mecha to a resource site.
The game starts as usual with a tutorial, a very lengthy tutorial. Your on a map where you have to move on the road and is given instruction to move to the resource site as hinted in the story above.
As your moving you will encounter enemies and will start battle with a swirly animation like in pokemon. When you enter battle the switch to a side scroller game, enemy will spawn everywhere on the screen like metal slug style.
Eliminate the enemies by shooting them, you can move left or right direction, you can move your mecha to avoid dangerous enemies or create distance with them, you also have a meter bar that fills up when you kill enemies, when full it will let you use your ultimate skill.
Clearing everything to progress to the next screen until you meet a boss. Note that boss will have multiple life bar and does have special skills, if you fail to kill the first boss you will have to restart the tutorial again.
The game will unlock multiple modes after clearing certain stage of the story such as pvp, events, resources, raids, bounties. The gameplay is technical the same thing for all 3 mode in the history.
Escort – where you protect a target from enemies till it reach it’s destination
Attack – kill all enemies on the map
Defense – Protect the base from incoming enemies
So in brief, you have a world map where you go from stage to stage, then the stage itself have a map where you will have to move your character on the designated road to achieve your target, then each time you encounter an enemy on the map you will fight in side scroller mode till you kill all enemies.
The game does have a managing side where you will have to equip, upgrade your pilots(waifus) and mechas between battles. It does also have a simulation part where you date and even marry your favorite waifu, meaning you have a affection system where gifts are important.
Beautiful 2D art of mechs and waifu, waifu are well animated with even some fanservice including pantyshots. The game isn’t beautiful like the animation, you get a reduce version : chibi of the mechs in battle with a pixel like retro arcade games. The skin are well animated and some characters does have a special animation in anime.
As the game is a side scroll game, control is rather simple, your character can shoot only in 2 direction with left and right shooting button and you can move 1 character in all direction, the 3 other character will be on auto mode. You can turn off or on the ultimate of each character of your team. You can also select between 3 formation during combat, free, defensive and group which you can change depending on the situations.
The old classic arcade action game, this is what it sound like to me when i was playing. Good sound effect and good voice acting but the story and dialog don’t have any voice acting which make the history less immersive as you will have to read the text or simply skip it out of boredom.
I can say around 2 or 3 hours daily easily with the daily missions and events only. I would say around 10 hours if your playing the story, as you don’t have an energy system that really prevent you from stop playing all day. Even the number of bounties can be refreshed quite cheaply with gems extending your play through even more.
It’s a F2P game who’s very generous to free to play but on the other hand it’s a gatcha game meaning you will have to use a lot of currency to obtain the best results in a banner. Making free to play to choose a banner and skip many other new units which is where the pay to win aspect goes in. That means a cash player will always have full custom mechs with the latest unit already maxed with the paid gems system.
The custom mech can bought with currency that you can grind ingame and some skin will be available with earn gems. You can finish the story with only blue and purple units, you can recruit units everyday with no need of summoning, same goes crafting custom mech parts. As long as you play the game the game will reward you enough to enjoy your play through.

It cover generally everything from daily, weekly and monthly package, promo package, one time package, subscription package, paid gem package, gift packs, skin package and without forgetting the season pass. Price vary from $0.99 to $100. Note that some skins and items in the shop are only available with paid gems.
Despite having daily missions, achievements, collection of mechs and waifus, the game won’t survive that long. Why? Because it’s all repetitive gameplay where you can’t skip and have to leave your phone on auto for 1 or 2 hour daily. I feel most of the player will burn out after the honeymoon period is over. It’s gameplay is simply not interesting to watch after seeing the same animation playing for the 1000 times.
Managing a team of character and mechs parts always helps someone grow in terms of management itself. The game is a gatcha so it may be dangerously addictive to a person or a child, it’s like a casino giving you some free chips to start playing, so beware.
Every game with waifu always have a community:
A skip button in combat, another one to skip special animation. Order applying to a single unit instead of the whole team while fighting. Better AI for bombers in auto mode. Skip for a single dialog not skip all the conversation. A history of the conversation if you missed something. Remove those clear this stage to unlock this feature specially after the long tutorial.
New banners with new units every month, they also do events with different duration.
If your a fan of collecting waifu it’s a YES but if your more into gameplay than collection then i would can skip this one. The game itself is not bad, it’s more like an empty shell, looks pretty sounds nice but the gameplay is too much repetitive things that you have to watch over and over. The only gameplay is managing the teams and pushing the button to start grinding for hours. In the end the game seems to have great potential but feels incomplete.
