Mobile Legends Bang Bang Review: The Best Mobile MOBA?

Mobile Legends Bang Bang Review: The Best Mobile MOBA?

Mobile Legends Bang Bang is a MOBA on mobile platform where you choose a hero to fight in real time against other players. Try to win by all kind of methods with or without the help of your team. For years this game has been the number one MOBA in mobile, why is that? Well we will try to find out more about it’s rise and also it’s potential fall if League of Legends: Wild Rift comes to global.

What is the Story of Mobile Legends Bang Bang?

Surprisingly Mobile Legends Bang Bang does not have a main story. Instead each hero has it’s own story which connect heroes to each other with multiple stories. Those stories are featured in multiple short animated video. But we can see clearly that they wanted to focus more on the game play than the lore. A bit disappointing as we all wanted to know why they are fighting. Oh well! At least i wanted to know more.

How is the Game play of Mobile Legends Bang Bang?

The game greets you with a very basic tutorial on how the game mechanics works. The tutorial consists of multiple small objectives and is separated in multiple part. Each represent different lesson about different roles and maps. As for your first lesson in the tutorial, you will learn to move, auto attack, use skill, stay behind minion or under your turret, avoid attacking an enemy hero under the enemy turret, etc. Your opponent will be a dumb AI (bot) which is easy to kill but don’t get too cocky after finishing your tutorial.

Although the tutorial did a good job showing you the basic, this won’t be enough against real player. Anyway back to what is the game play of Mobile Legends Bang Bang. The game is simple destroy the enemy base or make them surrender to win. To do so, you will have multiple obstacle in front of you. A team of 5 player behind their tower on the other side of the map trying to do the same thing as you.

So you will need to attack but also defend your base to avoid losing. The game is not about who gets the most amount of kills like Call of Duty or Modern Warfare. Don’t fall into this kind of trap where you are only playing to have the maximum number of kills and ignoring the main objective of the game. This may cost you dearly and will anger many of your teammate as you never helped them or defended the base when needed the most.

In Brief, you have to kill minions to obtain gold and experience, level up your heroes and buy items to become stronger. Try to destroy your enemy base before the enemy does so while trying not to die to avoid long respawn time. Helping your team secure buffs in the jungler, defending turrets and allies but also destroying enemy turrets and killing enemy heroes. Don’t forget the part where you need to have fun!

All match are played in a specific map, the most popular layout is the 3 lane map. Many people knows it as “Classic”, where the map has 3 lane and is divided into 2 symmetrical part. One for each team, on each lane each team will have 3 turrets per lane that defends their base respectively. Let’s not forget about the jungle is very important part of the map where many buff and bonus can help your team get an advantage.

Some maps won’t have a jungle while other might have only 1 lane. It’s the best to try and learn about the map before actually playing against real player. The lanes are called the Top, Mid and Bot. As for Mobile Legends Bang Bang they are called Experience lane, Middle Lane and Gold Lane. I won’t go in too much detail explaining every single thing in the map, my idea is to give you an overall understanding of it.

As the word itself says all, Preparation is where you will normally choose your emblems and builds or seek information on items. Here a brief description of the content of Preparation.

  • Emblems – upgrade them with emblems and battle points to unlock passive bonus and talents points, you can have up to 7 talents points and you have 9 different emblem tree
  • Battle Spells – Information on the lost of Battle Spells
  • Builds – Edit and set up to 3 builds per hero before battle
  • Equipment – Information on the list of items in game showing their recipes and amount of gold required
  • Effects – Cosmetic on Recall, Frames, Emotes and a long list of other effects
  • Skin Paint – Cosmetic where you paint on the back of a hero
  • Quick Chat – Send short important message already written to communicate with allies
  • Tutorial – Redo the training camp or learn about the terms in the game
  • Skill Layout – Choose how your skill placement on the screen

What is the best Emblems, Battle Spells and Builds?

I think the best answer is there’s no real Best as everything will depend on the situation. You will need to experience emblems, battle spells and builds by yourself. Adapt yourself for each situation then you can tell this is the best build when going against a specific enemy hero. So i would say there’s no definitive answer to that question, it’s a relative question which will always vary compare to the players.

The hero is the more powerful unit in the game which you will control. They can level up up to level 15 if they receive experience. They also learn skills which is unique to themselves. Each hero have only 4 skill in total. Hero can be killed but will always respawn at your base after a certain amount of time depending how many you have been killed. Hero can be very strong in skilled hand and completely under performed with an unskilled player.

Heroes are divided into 7 classes, each class has it’s own pro and cons. Here’s a brief description of each of them.

  • Tank – The Most Durable hero with defense and hp
  • Fighter – A Bruiser hero who is durable and deal enough damage to be a threat
  • Assassin – Squishy high burst damage hero
  • Mage – Squishy long range hero with burst damage
  • Marksman – Auto attack damage dealer
  • Support – Healer, Buffer, De buffer, Stunner, a hero who specialize in helping other hero

Mastery Code

Mastery code is a place where you receive small quests to complete for each hero that you owned. In order to receive the badge that you are an expert playing that hero to others. Small quests are usually straight forward but some require you some condition like playing with a specific hero which can be troublesome. As some hero are barely picked by players, so your quests may take some time to complete.

Who is the best hero in Mobile Legends Bang Bang?

Again the answer will vary depending in each situation. There’s no Best hero for every situation. Although some hero excel in some specific field, all heroes are not equal in terms of skills. All heroes have both strength and weaknesses. Some heroes are popular because they are quite easy to use and master in a few games while other is a real pain to work with. The answer is relative depending the skill of the player and on what level he’s playing.

This is where you can claim rewards after completing a certain amount of achievements. Achievements are rather easy to obtain if your a regular player, beginner should try to complete as many achievements to obtain emblems to help their account grow. You also have a ranking system based on how many achievements you have accomplished. You will have different category of achievements which you can unlock, here’s the list.

  • Collection – Everything you collect in the game from heroes to a simple emote
  • Battle – Any achievement in battle
  • Arcade – All arcade mode achievements
  • Charisma – Social achievements when playing with friends
  • Esports – Any MCL tournament achievements

The only thing that Mobile Legends Bang Bang have as unique compared to other MOBA is the Esports. The Esports is a live channel where on going tournament of international players, where you can watch live match going on. You can also participate or watch your favorite team playing on tournament days. Also all sponsor ads, Tiktok, Youtube and Instagram are also in there, so that you can share or notify friends about it.

All of your redeemable coins, card, heroes, skins and package are stored here. You can decide when to open them or sell of needed. Always keep an eye for items that have an expiry date, if you forget to redeem it before the events ends. You will lose the item as they will remove it after a patch update.

Other mode

Arcade mode have multiple game during events, they are mostly mini games where to use strategies to win. For example, Magic Chess is an 8-player based game mode, where players will compete against each other in the Magic Chessboard. The goal of this game is to buy and upgrade your heroes and the little commander, customizing your lineup to trigger and counter more and stronger synergies. Of course last one standing is the winner.

What Graphic does Mobile Legends Bang Bang use?

Mobile Legends Bang Bang runs on good 3D graphic, not the best or the worst one i have seen. As the battlefield is shown in isometric view, beautiful graphic is not the most important thing in a MOBA. Many player will run lower graphic to obtain the best performance while playing. Lagging or getting low fps can cost you a match. In max setting, the graphic are really beautiful, nice effect on the water, large amount of detail on the monster.

Aside from the map, the game 3D model are really cool and detailed, you can rotate them and check the animated scene for each of them in the lobby. They also let you check the skins which gives a good look on how the skin model look on your hero before buying. The 2D art are really nice, i consider them on par with league of legends artwork.

The last cosmetic thing is the emotes, frames and effects. Emotes and Frames are only in 2D, sometimes animated and sometime just a dull 2D art. As for the effects, they are a full 3D with rather impressive effects like firework, neon and other beautiful effect which activate when re-spawn or is teleporting or get a kill. Those are mostly for showing off that you own some effects and does not affect the game.

The control are good and responsive. Direction on left and skills on right side of the screen. You won’t have an excessive amount of button to tap which is a big relief. They do have 3 type of settings for controls,

  • Standard – Free Aim where you directly attack an enemy
  • Advanced – Advanced Aim where you choose to attack an enemy unit, minion or turrets
  • Additional – Lock-on Aim where you Lock onto an enemy unit and launch attack on a hero or minion

You will need to experience each of them and see by yourself which one is better depending on your play style. You also have a Targeting Priority between Lowest HP Percent, Lowest HP and Closest Target. This will help you not attack accidentally a minion instead of a hero in skirmish where things can easily get messy. You don’t have to tap constantly the attack button to auto attack, you can simply tap 1 time and it will automatically auto attack unless you move or change target.

Sound & Music

Honestly i don’t expect much from a MOBA game in terms of music. As expected you will have the game main theme music playing in an infinite loop in the lobby and the same thing apply in the battlefield. The voice over of each hero does make them more lovable, they do have some special lines for some skins or when they meet a specific hero. The sound effect are satisfactory nothing funky or out place. The announcer can be change with some heroes voice which is kinda nice.

What is the Game Length of Mobile Legends Bang Bang?

A match normally will be between 10 to 15 min. The game itself is design to be short and fast but there’s always some exception to the rules. Some match last more than 30 min can when your in a stalemate . Now if you want to complete your daily quests this may take you 1 or 2 hours. Dailies does take some time in Mobile Legends Bang Bang but they are very important for your account progress as F2P.

Is Mobile Legends Bang Bang Free to play?

Yes, Mobile Legends Bang Bang is fully F2P. They give you different heroes of each class for free and some free skins too. You also have the weekly free heroes and free gacha pull everyday for a selected free hero. Don’t forget about the free trials tickets of heroes and skins that is quite useful to test new heroes. Emblems will take some time to complete as F2P as the amount of currency is limited per week.

Some skins can be bought with a specific currency that you accumulate with time by doing your dailies. Note that you also get the +8 power boost with those skin, meaning you’ll be on par with a cash player no matter what skin he uses. Don’t forget that it’s a skill base game and cosmetic won’t help you against a good player.

Is Mobile Legends Bang Bang Pay to win?

No, Mobile Legends Bang Bang only charge you for some gachas, skins and packages. Skins only give a slight +8 in power, which is pretty insignificant unless your a min max person. I doubt we can call this P2W. On the other side, paying does offer you a rapid progression to complete your emblems and obtain champions faster than any F2P. Most of the event are for cash player but non of them will give you an overwhelming advantage against other players.

No Ads but you will get some pop up of time limited packages.

The game is busted with a large amount of cash products. Skins, gems, background, emotes, in game currency, packages, battle pass and events currency. As mentioned above skins are mostly cosmetics and give a slight boost in power but don’t really give you the edge against other player. Most of the events are for cash player as some quests will require you to spend in order to exchange for the event currency.

Be careful lots of events are behind a gacha system which means you may not obtain the desire rewards on the first pull. Unless they have a pity system, then you will have to spend enough to reach the pity. Package price vary between $0.99 to $100 as usual. Better wait for promotion on skins or heroes to buy them if you find something interesting. Maxing your emblems is a good and effective way to spend.

What is the Life span of Mobile Legends Bang Bang?

The live PVP has always been a thrill for many players and that’s why many games continue on trying to implement it in game. So i would say Mobile Legends Bang Bang is in a very solid position where the game would last for years. Even if the graphic would get old, the adrenaline rush of fighting other player and winning stays the same. And that gives Mobile Legends Bang Bang a long life span unless they mess up the balance of some heroes.

They also have a mastery system of each hero with some mini quests. It’s more like an achievement to show other people what you have accomplished and what hero you have mastered. A bit like an intimidation or a boast. Luckily for Moonton players like those kind of thing, trying to continue to play until they have all mastery and badges. Games can be called completed only when you have obtain everything.

Mobile Legends Bang Bang force you to learn about the game mechanics, heroes, items, maps, spells, emblems and to play with other player. Learning never stops! Which is entirely true in a MOBA, some opponents will always surprise you with a weird builds or unorthodox way of fighting. Items and heroes are constantly re balance which force you to learn about buffs and nerf of heroes. Most important thing is to learn to communicate with other player.

Take decision in real time that can lead you to victory or defeat. This is where the strategy kicks in. This game have a large part of being strategic despite it’s simple goal. Adapt strategy depending on your team or situation to trick your opponent into a false sense of security. Do back doors, ambush, ganks and so much effective strategy. But strategy is useless if your planning to play the game by yourself and for yourself only.

Which bring us to the last benefit, communication. Communication is key in those kind of game, what is the use of having knowledge of all the game and knowing all kind of strategy but you can’t pass it to your team. With good communication whether it’s voice or chat, can largely affect a match. Respecting your teammate and skill level can be difficult but not impossible, try giving positive feedback. Instead of being Toxic and releasing a wave of insult to them, may bring you bad reputations and reports.

Making you, the worst of players who always blame it’s team for losing and never praise them for winning. Remember it’s just a game where random people are playing with you. No need to get emotional and make other people gaming experience a nightmare. Last thing about Mobile Legends Bang Bang, it’s highly addictive!!! so watch out.

Official Site

The game updates every week with both bug fix and updates. Events updates is nearly every 2 weeks depending on the type of events. New heroes and skin does show up with a longer delay but you will always have an event going on. Mobile Legends Bang Bang is a very active game with updates to keep you busy and avoid boredom.

Should you play Mobile Legends Bang Bang?

Yes, it’s a good example of a MOBA game for mobile. Some would call it a copy of League of Legends on Mobile which i partly agrees. While it does share some similarity with league of legends, the characters are quite unique. Mobile Legends Bang Bang does not have a main story but focus more on the game play part which can be considered good or bad from a certain point of view. It also share the same burden of all the other MOBA games.

A list of things that make MOBA quite infamous. I won’t list all of them because it’s another subject entirely. Mobile Legends Bang Bang is not beginner friendly, have a difficult learning curve and is highly addictive. It also suffers from trolls, afkers, ragers, etc… while it sound very negative, not all your match will be filled with them. You will also encounter skilled, friendly and helpful players. Those guys and girls will make you have a very positive experience of the game.

Keep in mind that you can’t win every single match. It’s a hard reality that you will have to accept no matter how good you are. After over 500+ match, i can say that MOBA reflect a lot of reality into a match. You can’t win by yourself, you will need assistance from time to time whether from a strong or a weak person. Helping others will help you win and help from others may help you overcome a difficult opponent.

Anyway i digress, the game still have some improvement to do in terms of balancing heroes and matches. Events are not fun for F2P and emblems progression is extremely slow unless you pay. A typical mobile mechanics to make you spend. It’s a good adrenaline rush to play 1 or 2 match per day but don’t touch that game if your in a bad mood. As you may regret it, losing is not fun and can sometimes be very frustrating. You are playing Mobile Legends Bang Bang to have fun so don’t take things too seriously unless your a pro player going in a competition to win a cash price.

Angel Legion Review 2024?

Angel Legion Review 2024?

What is Angel Legion?

Angel Legion Review a 3D Idle Collection RPG with a very different theme that other idle games. If you like science fiction(sci-fi) game, space, ninja, cyborgs and waifu. This game have it all, let’s have a look at this unique 3D idle game in this review.

3D Background in Angel Legion

Miya, a mytherious girl, what’s her big secret? All the forces of Sheila Galaxy fight against each other for it? Will the ancient prediction come true?

As a junior star hunter, how would you lead your battle angels and Miya to get through the difficulties? Go through everything with Miya! What kind relationship will you build? Friendship, Kinship or Love.. The story goes on, you are the hero!

Long story short your aim is to become an Ace Star Hunter and you are assigned with Miya. Now it’s time to collect cyborg girls in a space adventure with Miya!!

After some dialogues, you are guided through a tutorial with your mentor in order to pass the test of a star hunter. The tutorial does it’s job and make you understand different mode of the game quickly. Learning combat, positioning, equipment, switching weapon, adventure, explore and challenges. Don’t worry we will comeback on some of the important ones later on.

The main gameplay of Angel Legion is taking a team of 6 Angels in a 3 by 3 formation(3 in front and 3 at the back row) in a turn base battle. A bit like the infamous Raid Shadow Legends combat system. You have 20 turn to beat the enemies and you can either auto or play manually. Combat is the same for nearly all content of the game. You can level up, evolve and equip your angels to increase their power.

Other game mode

Angel Legends does have a list of different contents beside the main story, here a list for you:

    • Arena PVP mode

    • Endless TrialA board game style where you roll a dice to advance on randomly generated board with enemies, buffs, cosmetics, healing points.

    • Simulated Alpha Boss Raid where you need to score maximum damage

    • Battlefield Endless tower mode where you beat your opponent to obtain rewards including Miya fragment

    • Expedition Beat 30 stage in a survival mode(only silver star or better can participate)

    • Military Match Form 3 different team around Miya different weapon and fight other players

    • Explore Send some your troops on an expedition for a certain amount of time

    • Cabin upgrade, craft and collect resources(Fallout Shelter Style)

    • Adventure move around your ship in space, defeat your enemies and collect chests(Mass Effect Style)

Angel Legion Mechanics

Character and Recruit

Your character is the core of everything, those angels have different roles, skills and attribute. The Class are:

    • SupportHealer, Buffer, Cleanser
    • Physical Physical DPS that can be mostly single target but some does have good Aoe skills
    • Guard Tank unit with CC or self sustain and defensive buff
    • Magic Magical DPS that have multi target Aoe Skills but some of them does have single target attack.

You can recruit them using 3 different currency, of course each
currency have different rates. Those are fairly easy to obtained by
playing the game. Sadly for F2P, the game don’t have a guaranteed chance
for S-Rank Angels. Although i heard some rumors after 50 summons, you will automatically get an S Rank if you did not get any for that 50 summons. Can’t tell if that was true as i managed to get S-Rank every 20 or 30 summons.

Once you advance far enough in the game, you should start having some
difficulty to beat your enemies. Don’t worry it’s normal way for a game
to indicate you to upgrade your character even further than the
tutorial showed you. After a certain level a different material(Blue Crystal) may be needed to upgrade your character to the next level. But you will most of the time use Star Coupon and Force.

You may have to Evolve your character to obtain
additional star. Star will increase the max level of your character but
you will need to reach max level of 5 star. Evolve will work as a limit
break and go back from 5 star to 1 Star but will change to silver. The
same process will go on until you reach Red Star color.

    • Bronze Star Evolve to 1 Silver Star
    • Silver Star Evolve to 1 Gold Star
    • Gold Star Evolve to 1 Red Star
    • Red is currently max Evolve

They come in 6 different rarity:

    • D equipment – Fuse 3 to obtain C equipment
    • C equipment – Fuse 4 to obtain B equipment
    • B equipment – Fuse 5 to obtain A equipment
    • A equipment – Fuse 8 to obtain S equipment
    • S equipment – Max Rarity
    • SS equipment -New Rarity

Equipment can be obtained by crafting, dropping from enemy, rewards, Star Chests and Fusion. Fusion
is a great way to obtain better gear and it will be your best way to obtain S rank gear as F2P. You can also upgrade them to +12 but i would recommended to upgrade only S rank gear to avoid wasting materials. Note the chance of success decreases after each upgrade, so don’t try to waste too much material on lower rarity gear.

New Ai illustration

A 3D graphic like a PS3 game. It’s a bit outdated but it still have it’s charm. The character have some unique design but have similar face which you can always modify later on with their customization. I think it’s the only Idle game with character’s customization. The background are 3D animated which you can swap, combat background is also in 3D but don’t really have anything going on(making it look static). The combo skills is cool and the normal skill animation looks meh.

The UI is a more over clean and simple. The dialogue shows the character in 2D illustration, if you expected some 3D animation you end up disappointed like me. While dialogue is a cheap way to show a story, it can’t be use everywhere specially in a 3D scifi game where action seems to be taking place on every mission. Finally you can view in 3D your hero and rotate the character but no zoom in or out. I noticed a VR mode but i did not have any VR gear to test it out.

Other than that they recently added new 2D illustrations, some are even 2D live ones. While it looks awesome giving us a cooler looking character illustration with even more fanservice. The illustration is sadly AI made, which mean you will see the same illustrations in other games.

Sound and Music

Good background music which change on different screen and background. You even have different music on different story stages and other game modes. Excellent sound effect of attack and skills. The voice acting was good addition to dialogue, too bad it’s only part of the story. Expect some surprise when changing background.

Is Angel Legion Free to play or Pay to Win?

I would say it’s F2P to a certain extant but make no mistake Angel Legion is a P2W game. As the game requires copy of heroes to make them stronger.

The problem is that a cash player have unlimited ways to obtain any heroes of their choice if they are willing to pay.

This completely upset the balance as F2P will take months and a lot of luck in the RNG in order to reach the progression of a 1 week account of a cash player.

The cash shop is a very simple one, yet they complicated it by replacing the cash by a currency name Star Dollar. Making it difficult to evaluate the price of the packages. Star Dollar can be recharge and it’s price varies between the standard $0.99 to $ 99.99. Even the packages price look low, player should be careful about spending as you can easily get lost or forgot the cost of recharging Star Dollar.

They have a guild system with chat which also let you interact with other player.

Updates and Events

The latest update has brought quite a change in appearance of the game. Angel Legion now has new AI illustrations with even more fan service.

Removal of the energy and recovery system and an interaction mode in 3D with maya. Of course there are other updates for fixing bugs, etc.

Idle rewards in Angel Legion

Yes as it’s a unique style of Scifi Idle RPG but Angel Legion does have a lot of room for improvement. That being said the game is not bad at all if ignore the P2W aspect and RNG dependency for progression.

I personally enjoyed my play through with Angel Legion as F2P. Progression is good until you hit some walls like resources and copy of S rank heroes to Evolve. The game is beautiful enough to enjoy the character customization. Skins were literally free, upgrading the base like Fallout Shelter was fun.

The updates gave the game a new look but i fear that the AI illustration can be a double edge sword for the game. As many other game have similar illustrations too, making me wonder who is the original?

In Order to save her daughter and the survivors, Eileen sacrifice herself. With the help of an unknown hero, they manage to escape in a portal. Now Lene must go on an adventure to find out the truth.

Game play

After some nice cinematic, the game transition immediately into tutorial mode. Where you will learn the basic quickly, After combat you will be shown different class.

As all RPG, you will have different classes,

  • Tank as your meat shield
  • DPS as your melee damage dealer
  • Support as healer or buffer/de buffer
  • Range as range damage dealer
  • Universal as the most flexible class meaning you can be everything

Each class has a specific color code to differentiate them from each other.

  • Tank is Blue,
  • Support is Green,
  • Range is Yellow
  • Universal is Purple

Each specific unit get specific buffs depending on Formation.

Formation is a bit different in Seven Knights 2. First you will need to unlock then upgrade them with gold and books. Formation will always have 4 slot only but they will be in different color. Remember the class color code? Well this is where you will know where to place them.

Gear will start dropping when slaying monster, Of course you can equip them on your heroes. Those gear have no class restrictions and have multiple set both offensive and defensive. The gear is divided in to 5 parts for armor, 3 parts for accessories and 1 part for the weapon. They also have different grade from

  • Uncommon as Grey
  • Common as Green
  • Rare as Blue
  • Legendary as Red

Pet is the Chibi version of the characters or monster. There main job is to give you a passive buff and a short active buff during battles. They also share the same grade system as gears as mentioned above.

You can upgrade heroes using fragment by limit breaking them up to 10 times in total. Max level is currently level 50. Note that the cost of fragments increases after each limit break and it has a 100% success rate, thanks god. Fragment can be obtain via summoning, exchange in shop and fusion.

Each hero will have 4 skills, there are 3 basic skills and 1 ultimate skill. Basic skill can be passive or active and ultimate can only be active.

When your hero levels up 5 level, you can upgrade your skills to +1 with some gold. The maximum cannot be reach if you don’t upgrade your mastery and have the Trouble Shooter gear equipped. Not that max skill level is currently level 20.

In battle, you can always upgrade your skills, mastery, upgrade gear or even switch equipment which is a really cool feature and quality of life. So the battle screen is pretty the same standard interface, on the left is the movement control and on the right the attack/auto attack button, and near it your 3 skill.

Mastery is a very important to get passive bonus. They are locked behind your level but luckily you can bypass this with gems. It’s a one time purchase and is an excellent way to spend your gems.

In order to collect gear and crafting materials, you will need to start doing Raids. Raid is a mode where your team face a Boss on a time limit. Raid have both single and multiplayer mode, you will have a 4 and 8 person raid. Raids have currently 10 level of difficulty, each level make the boss stronger.

Careful have ultimate skill like your characters, they can 1 shot your team with it. So to avoid failing your raids you should bring a counter hero that will interrupt his ultimate and disable him for some seconds. Dodge red telegraph attacks of the boss and try not to auto in raids.

The typical dungeons where you will face different challenge to obtain resources. They each require specific unit for example some stage requires melee dps only and other require range heroes only. Dungeons also have only 10 levels, of course each level will be harder as monster will get better stats.

Arena is a big disappointment, why? It’s completely on Auto, that’s means you don’t have any control on your character or skill during a match. Which make a PVP match a brawl simulation of AI vs AI. They could have at least let you use skills during combat but you can only watch the match.

Due to that PVP is entirely a Strength contest where the higher grade heroes will always win. PVP is a place where you obtain your weekly gems to summons but as a F2P don’t hope to get to higher leagues. As you will meet strong teams of Legendary+ that will destroy your team in seconds.

How is Seven Knights 2 Graphic?

It’s one of the most beautiful 3D on mobile, everything is animated correctly. The face has different expression, each character look different from each other. Although some character are copy paste with only a different skin. Weapon glows after enhancing to +10 which add a nice visual effect.

The skins doesn’t look that extraordinary, the environment looks really good, the skill effect are breath taking for some heroes. They manage to respect the original Seven knights character and didn’t add unnecessary changes to them.

The game looks exactly as the cinematic, so you won’t feel cheated when looking at the cinematic and start playing. The game make me remember DMC4 for some reason, same graphic , same vibes but different game play.

You can move your character around in all direction, do attack in combo without using skills or use auto attacks mode that will use skill automatically. A button to rally other member of the team to the character your controlling and you can switch from any heroes anytime during the battle.

The control is very responsive which is good as the game encourage you to take control to dodge telegraph attack from boss and monsters.

To be efficient try manually control instead of auto mode. When using your skill, for example a healer uses the heal when everyone is still at full health and putting the skill on cool down which may result in killing your whole team. When the boss will use an aoe attack that you fail to dodge or simply can’t dodge.

Also as mention above, counter heroes will need a manual activation to trigger their skills. Finally your pet active skill also require a manual activation.

Sound & Music

The whole story has voice acting, each character has it’s voice acting, even the uncommon to legendary+. Each screen has it’s own epic music from the login screen to battlefield, different music which you can listen in loop. Each character attack and skill has also been voice acting, grunts from attacking and receiving damage or even when you faint.

How about Seven Knights 2 Game Length?

The main story isn’t too long around 11 chapters, each chapters are divided into small stages. Once story is over you can tackle the next difficulty and repeat the whole story again for 4 times in total. You can finish the story in 2 or 3 days of game play, each dungeon and raids have currently 10 level, take around 15 min to manually clear a level but once difficulty is cleared, you may just use a clear ticket and be done with it in less than 10 seconds.

You have a daily login reward, weekly events, monthly events, daily quests, monthly quests, everything of those take a lots of time at the start, between 1h – 3h of game play but later on you may do your dailies in less than 30 minutes, including some grind.

Is Seven Knights 2 Free to play or Pay to win?

P2W without a doubt. Even the gems shower and freebies early on, you will quickly realize that the game is not F2P at all. You have limited ways to obtain gems as the story mode is 1 time reward only.

PVP is whale territory, as it’s extremely difficult to obtain a Legendary + Hero as a F2P. Even if you manage to pull one it will take you several months to max that unit. By the time your finish doing so, another stronger unit will have already come out and make your hard work go to waste.

New units are better that previous unit, making old unit fall behind with wasted time and resources. If you want to follow the Meta, you will need to spend some cash to keep up with the updates.Skins are available only via cash shop.

Micro Transaction

Ah!! The cash shop, you will get everything as the usual mobile games cash shop, daily/weekly/monthly packages, battle pass, special offers, currency package, skins, summon packs, hero fragments packs and pets packs. Price will vary between $0.99 – $89.99, most of the good packs are rather expensive and they are a bit aggressive with special offers. By the way, skins can only be obtain with real money.

No ads.

What is the Life span of Seven Knights 2?

Base on what I’ve seen the game may go on for at lease 1 or 2 year if they manage to continue on pumping new chapter and character in the game, most of the people that will stay are here for the story or heroes and not for the game play.

The game tried to extend itself by repeating the story 4 times, same story with nothing new with only increased stats from monster and boss depending the difficulty.

As a RPG you will have some team management to do. Learn who to use in specific raids and also some team synergy. Unfortunately that all you can squeeze from this game.

  • Add the amount of gems obtained in the expedition run,
  • Make gems a drop item
  • Increase the amount of gem in the higher difficulty of story mode
  • Remove or increase the amount of fragment that you can buy daily
  • Change the items in the shop because they are terrible
  • Add different aura on normal monsters in higher difficulty of the story mode, Same for the raids boss and dungeon.
  • Need more gear sets
  • Add more formations with different combination and buffs
  • Change the pity system to a guaranty banner hero instead of chance of obtaining other ones

New Chapters are been added every month, with addition of 2 new heroes and some new events with them.

Should you play Seven Knights 2?

Honestly the game is one the best graphic i have seen. Plus the innovative game play character control is a nice addition to Mobile RPG games. But that about it, the game feels empty inside, poor gear system, streamline game play and lacks of diversity.

Progression is very slow as F2P, the map that they give freely is simply not enough for you to grind. After some month, you may start to feel burn out. Connecting only to collect maps or finish your daily quests and log out.

The game is playable as F2P if you play consistently. As for cash player, this game is for you as you will get new units nearly every month. Seven Knights 2 feels like a rush, unfinished game which rely solely on beautiful graphic and nostalgia.
